Join Tom for a walk from Port Ellen to Laphroaig via the standing stone loop and three distilleries pathway.
Distance/Time: approx 5 miles /3 Hours
Level: Easy. Paved surfaces, rough tracks and farmland.
Starting at Ramsay Hall Car Park, we will join the three distilleries path for a relaxed walking loop taking in some local history, including ancient standing stones and old abandoned settlements. There are great opportunities for some wildlife watching along the way, we will also visit the Laphroaig dam before heading towards the distillery. You can finish the tour at Laphroaig or continue back with me to Port Ellen on the three distilleries path via McDougall's monument.
If you fancy working up a whisky appetite before visiting Laphroaig or Port Ellen open days, then this for you!
It is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes and come prepared for the odd shower.
