Arches and Spires: Oxford Welsh MVC and Fron Male Voice Choir

Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir welcomes the Fron Male Voice Choir to Oxford Town Hall for a very special Annual Gala Concert on Saturday 31 October 2026.

The evening will bring together two distinguished Welsh male voice choirs for a varied programme combining traditional choral favourites with more contemporary music. Each choir will perform separately before joining forces for a powerful massed-choir finale.

The Fron travels from North Wales, home of the celebrated Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, while Oxford provides the historic setting of its own famous spires — inspiring the concert’s title, Arches and Spires.

Following Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir’s successful concerts with Treorchy Male Choir and Only Boys Aloud, this promises to be another memorable evening of Welsh choral singing in the magnificent surroundings of Oxford Town Hall.
