Paul Murphy is a Bolton-born singer-songwriter and poet who writes songs for people who still believe the world can be better—even when the evidence occasionally suggests otherwise.

Before stepping back into the spotlight with a guitar, Paul spent more than thirty years as an award-winning television director, with credits ranging from Doctor Who and Death in Paradise to some of Britain's best-loved comedies. Storytelling has always been at the heart of his work; these days, the stories are told in spoken word and song.
