Cat's Cradle folk gig: fundraiser for Todmorden Folklore Centre

Music, folklore and connection: a fundraiser for Todmorden Folklore Centre. Seated listening. A Blackstonedge Records promotion

Cat's Cradle are an acoustic 4-piece folk band playing inventive, intricately constructed original songs and tunes, by turns atmospheric, rhythmically driving, joyful, dark and gentle. Using voices, mandolin, tenor banjo, bodhran, piano, whistle and cello, several traditions get woven in: from the very local, to the UK, eastern Europe, prog and chamber music; all wetted down with a bit of northern rain. The Folklore Centre in Todmorden celebrates cultural heritage through arts, film, crafts, a library and an archive.
