About

Gregg Stevenson MBE

Paralympic Champion | World Champion | Afghanistan Veteran | PhD Researcher | Motivational Speaker

Gregg Stevenson MBE is a Paralympic gold medallist, World Rowing Champion, Afghanistan veteran and inspirational speaker whose journey embodies resilience, determination and the power of sport to transform lives.

While serving with the Royal Engineers in Afghanistan, Gregg sustained life-changing injuries from an improvised explosive device, resulting in the loss of both legs. Faced with the challenge of rebuilding his life, he discovered the transformative power of rehabilitation, physical activity and sport.

Through years of dedication and perseverance, Gregg went on to represent Great Britain in para-rowing, becoming a World Champion in 2023 before achieving his ultimate sporting ambition: winning gold at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Beyond his sporting achievements, Gregg holds a master’s degree in Psychology and is currently completing a PhD exploring inequalities in access to rehabilitation and physical activity. His work focuses on breaking down barriers and helping people realise their potential, regardless of their circumstances.

Awarded an MBE for his contributions, Gregg brings a unique combination of elite sporting experience, military service, psychological insight and lived experience.

Through his talks, Gregg shares powerful lessons on resilience, mindset, teamwork, overcoming adversity and achieving success, inspiring athletes, coaches and sporting communities to challenge their perceived limits and recognise what is possible.
