Review of Bicep

The event was extremely unorganized by Dreamland. It was a hot day which was forecast which meant the inside venue was unbelievably hot! It was great that they provided fans to cool the venue down but there was only two which was not enough at all. They also miscalculated how many people would fit in the venue as people missed out on seeing the main act Bicep because they were being retained downstairs due to there not being enough space for everyone. This should have been an outside event. The staff were not pleasant either, with people being told to move away from the fan next to the stairs when all they wanted to do was cool down. Don't put it there if you don't want people blocking that area! People we're literally dripping with sweat. We had to leave the event early due to not being able to handle how hot it was in the venue and then if we went outside to cool down we had to que up to get back upstairs and wait until others left the inside venue to actually be allowed back in. This meant we only got to see a quarter of Bicep's set! (which we paid to see all of it!!). This was extremely disappointing and felt like a waste of money due to it being a badly organised event by Dreamland. This is the second event I that has been ruined by bad it being badly organised. We attended a Worried About Henry event in June on one of the hottest days of the year (again forecast) and no shade was provided at all by dreamland. People were being sick, fainting and trying to find any shade they could possible. This has really put us off attending any more Dreamland events which is a shame because previous years have been brilliant.

Venue was ridicoulsy hot. People were passing out. I had shorts and a bikini top on and I have never sweated so much in my life.
It was 20 degrees outside but no air conditioning inside at a max capacity gig.

The reason behind my review is ,the sound system is on point, the acts were on point, but the venue in its self was poor,it needs more ventilation,yes ok they had big industrial fans,but they may aswell not been on ,all the fans were doing was generating the hot air around,the heat was unbearable,it was that hot newrly every one was Bear chested, including the women even with out bra,s on .everyone was swimming in sweat .
Trying to get back in to the venue was poor from the toilets ,got made to wait to go back in to event I paid 50pound for because it became 1 in 1 out ,well over capacity,by 1,30am everyone was packed in like sardines,would of been pretty knackerd if there was a fire.
Also people were smoking in the venue lighting up,dropping fags on the floor.
Service on the bar was poor , customer service was soo poor ,attitude of the bar staff were like theres your drink ,deal with it.

when I arrived at 12.30 as Bicep.were coming on, K9 security staff appeared to be have lost control, with people trying to access the hall and stopped people from entering on a 1 out one in policy. this resulted in a very scary stand off with people tightly packed in, and staff screaming at usand only after 20.minutes did they start to let people in. the venue had no air conditioning and was unbearably hot.

although they sold the tickets, they did not appear to anticipate numbers.

sound quality was awful, the worst I have come across resulting in a terrible overall experience.

bicep.were my all time faves first time saw them live. so disappointed.

dreamland is a health and safety nightmare waiting to happen.

One of the hottest venues I’ve ever been to, ventilation was 2 fans in the corners & that’s it, to maintain water supply they had to get someone with a hose on top of the bar. I won’t be returning to this venue for future events.
