Borokov Borokov used to describe their music as music they want to dance to—even when it doesn’t sound like dance music: a volatile mix of angular synth pop, work-incapacitated hi-NRG, krautrock with a double “t,” birthday-acid house, supra-Freudian elektrapunk, and multilingual lamentations. Every track an escape attempt, writhing out of its own straitjacket.

On stage, Borokov Borokov’s manic intensity has lit up festivals and clubs across Europe and beyond—CTM, Fusion, MOTH Club, Eurosonic, Pukkelpop, Best Kept Secret, Paradiso, Down The Rabbit Hole, AB, Le Petit Bain, Le Sucre, boilerroom.tv and more. In 2020 they were part of the renowned SHAPE platform. They are also a (un)regular on Charlie Bones’ Do!! You!!! Radio.

Curtain Twitcher:

Curtain Twitcher aka Sophie Toes and Grace Griffin's creative and collaborative friendship goes back to the days of influential underground Sheffield venue, Club 60. Their recent debut album “Leap The Dips” picked up some mega props from the folks at Piccadilly Records as well as Ransom Note and emerged from machine jamming with a creative freedom that only comes from friendship. That friendship is a musical one but it’s also real and genuine: “We’ll talk about pretty much owt if you provide the tea and cakes”.
