TV Smith - founder member, singer and songwriter of The Adverts, brings his legendary punk catalogue to The Snug for a rare, intimate headline show.

Formed in late 1976, The Adverts were at the forefront of the first wave of British punk. With cult classic "One Chord Wonders" and the UK Top 20 hit "Gary Gilmore's Eyes," the band quickly became one of the most talked-about acts of the era. Their debut album Crossing the Red Sea with The Adverts remains widely regarded as one of the greatest punk records ever released.

Following The Adverts, TV forged a fiercely independent solo career spanning decades, releasing numerous acclaimed albums and touring extensively across the UK, Europe, the USA and beyond. His 2024 album Handwriting, created in collaboration with producer Gerry Diver, marked a bold and innovative new chapter, which earned some of the strongest reviews of his career.

Nearly 50 years on from the birth of British punk, TV Smith continues to embody its original spirit - direct, independent and uncompromising.
