Out Now - Talking Queer TV from 90s to Now with Scott Bryan
Broadcaster, television critic and one of the UK's most recognisable voices on the small screen, Scott Bryan joins SCENE for a funny, heartfelt and nostalgic journey through modern television, celebrating the launch of his brilliant new book Out Now.
Part memoir, part love letter to television, Out Now explores the programmes that shaped Scott's life as a queer, neurodivergent young person growing up under the shadow of Section 28. From Queer As Folk to Desperate Housewives, Heartstopper to Heated Rivalry, Scott traces the shaping and reflecting of his view of society through moments on the small screen that mattered most to him.
Expect an entertaining hour of stories, iconic TV clips and a celebration of the LGBTQ+ moments that transformed British television. Whether you're obsessed with great telly, fascinated by queer pop culture or simply want to hear from one of the industry's sharpest commentators and one of SCENE's greatest friends and collaborators, this event celebrates seminal moments in queer telly and the voices behind them.
Books will be available to purchase with an opportunity for a signing after the event.
