Moxy Muzik returns to Joshua Brooks on 12th June 2026, with label boss Darius Syrossian back behind the decks for another instalment of Manchester's most consistent monthly residency.

Moxy Muzik launched in 2019 as Syrossian's outlet for the music he actually wants to play. House, minimal, tech-house, and the deeper end of the dancefloor. The label has been built around one principle: the music comes first. No fads, no chasing trends, no concessions to whatever's currently moving on socials. That same ethos runs through every Joshua Brooks residency night.

Syrossian's route to international recognition is well documented. Fourteen years behind the counter at Leeds record shops Global Beat and Crash, selling vinyl to visiting DJs like Derrick Carter and Honey Dijon before ever stepping into a booth full-time. Two BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes, a DJ Mag Best of British win for Best Resident DJ in 2014, residencies at Space Ibiza, Amnesia and DC10, and releases on Hot Creations, Defected, Drumcode and Crosstown Rebels. The credentials speak for themselves.

The Moxy Muzik residency has run at Joshua Brooks for over five years now, building a reputation as one of the city's most reliable underground house nights. Past editions have featured Smokey Bubblin' B, Capri, Rudanec and Miruna Ghica alongside the venue residents. The full June lineup is to be announced. Moxy nights have a track record of curation that rewards a bit of patience. Support is never filler.

Joshua Brooks itself was made for this kind of programming. Under the bricked arches of the basement, the low ceilings hold the Void Acoustics rig tight and the intimate dancefloor puts you close enough to feel every transition. Darius helped design this room. It's no accident that Moxy Muzik calls it home.
