Joshua Brooks reopens. The basement has been rebuilt from the floor up, and for the first Saturday back we have handed the whole night to one selector.
Special Guest to be announced. All night long. 10pm till 4am.
He played this basement and sold every single ticket. Every tier was gone, and everyone who left a review gave it five out of five. We did not have to spend a penny on advertising. That is the kind of room he builds.
He deals in soul-led, groove-heavy records, and he plays them off vinyl. A long time behind the counter sit underneath it, and it shows in the way he moves a room. Not a tracklist, a proper arc. The last year has taken him across UK festivals and through Italy and the Netherlands, including a standout back to back with Detroit's Marcellus Pittman in Geneva. His Groove Anthology platform has built a real community around overlooked records and the culture around them.
The arches in this room are the ones the Chemical Brothers held their first residency under in 1993. Everything around them is new. Void Acoustics, rebuilt bar, same low ceiling and the same sweat.
Doors 11pm. Last entry midnight. Over 18s only.
PLEASE NOTE: This ticket is for the night-time event only and is completely separate from the Joshua Brooks Reopening Day Party.
Entry with this ticket is valid for the night event only. If you wish to attend the Reopening Day Party, you will need to purchase a separate ticket for that event.
1993 until forever.
