Dusky: Signals Tour | Manchester

Dusky bring their Signals tour to Joshua Brooks, one stop on a global run that takes the London duo across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Between all of that, an intimate Manchester basement, which is arguably where their music has always made the most sense.
Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell have spent well over a decade as one of the most consistent and quietly influential acts in UK dance music. They reset under the Dusky name in 2011, moving on from the more progressive sound of their earlier project Solarity towards something deeper and more detailed. The breakthrough came with 2012's Flo Jam on Dogmatik, named iTunes Dance Single of the Year and hammered by everyone from Joy Orbison to Jamie Jones. Careless on Aus cemented it soon after, a UK house record that has aged into a genuine classic.
Since then they have refused to settle in one lane, moving through house, techno, garage and melodic club music, with releases across Anjunadeep, Running Back and Loefah's School. In 2014 they founded their own label, 17 Steps, marking ten years of it in 2024 with the Floor To Floor compilation, and the Lord of the Ring Roads EP arrived on the imprint late in 2025.
Essential Mix of the Year contenders and former DJ Mag cover stars, they have headlined everywhere from Berlin's Panorama Bar to London's Fabric, with the genre-spanning DJ sets that have become their signature.
The basement at Joshua Brooks is the right room for that breadth. Brick arches, a low ceiling and a Void Acoustics system that handles their bass-led, detailed productions the way they were built to be felt rather than just heard. It is a space with real history, an early home for The Chemical Brothers, and one that has always taken underground dance music seriously.
Expect new music, fresh energy, and a duo who still play like the dance floor is the whole point. See you down the front.
