Joshua Brooks Basement

About

Dunmore Brothers headline the Joshua Brooks basement, bringing their percussive, groove-led take on house to Manchester.

Lucas and Louie Dunmore have spent the last few years building a sound that pulls from across house music, from deep tech to old-school warmth. In early 2026 they launched their own label, KOBA Records, and made their debut on Michael Bibi's Solid Grooves with "Trust Me" featuring Ben Westbeech, a record built around a vocal hook and a bassline made for rooms exactly like this one. Earlier work has landed on Snatch! Records and Kaluki Musik, alongside DJ mixes for Defected.

This is club music first: rolling low end, long blends and a focus on feel over fireworks. It suits the basement, and it suits Manchester.

The room does the rest. Joshua Brooks sits under bricked arches on Princess Street, with a Void Acoustics system that rewards this kind of low-slung, physical house. It is the same basement that gave The Chemical Brothers their first residency, and it still handles bass the way few small rooms can. See you at the front.
