Cool It brings James Poole to the Joshua Brooks basement on Wednesday 23 September.

Poole is having a genuine moment. When Calvin Harris wanted an official remix of 'Satisfy', his single with Jazzy, he asked James to do it. It landed on Columbia in July and has been in Calvin's sets ever since. Speed garage, done properly.

The rest of the CV reads the same way. A debut on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations with the Beatport chart topping 'Miss Tony EP', two more on Hottrax with 'Tuff Luck' and 'Make The Dream Work', early support from Skream, and a record signed by John Summit. A northern producer taking old school records apart and rebuilding them into something that works at 2am.

Expect speed garage, bassline and house, loud, in a low room with a new Void Acoustics rig.

Doors 10pm. Last entry 11.30pm. Over 18s only, ID required.

Student tickets are £5 with valid student ID on the door. Early bird £6, then £8, then £10.
