An intimate storytelling event exploring the strange, mythic and transformative stories hidden inside familiar landscapes, such as the parks, streets and overlooked places that sit quietly within the city.
This includes a short reading from local author Heidi Hinda Chadwick's debut novella, 'The Story of the Deer Woman', alongside reflections on folklore, landscape and imagination.
In the book, a woman on the edge of transformation flees the city and seeks refuge in Heaton Park, only to realise that even the park sits on the boundary between civilisation and the wild.
