Arliston @ The Eagle Inn, Manchester
Arliston
Music Genres
Brixton alt-indie duo Arliston bring their atmospheric, slow-building sound to the Eagle Inn, Salford — one of Greater Manchester's most characterful small venues. The band (Jack Ratcliffe, George Hasbury) trade in ambient, emotive indie: layered guitars, synths and piano beneath Ratcliffe's haunting baritone, drawing comparisons to the likes of The National, Bon Iver and Daughter. Their songs move between melancholy and quiet optimism, the kind built to fill a room and pull you deep into your own head. Set in a hollowed-out Victorian terrace house with a top-spec sound system and barely 80 capacity, the Eagle Inn is about as intimate as live music gets — and a near-perfect fit for a band like this. Expect a warm, immersive evening, with a proper pint of cask ale waiting in the pub next door.
