About

About John Proctor is the Villain

John Proctor is the Villain at Wyndham’s Theatre is Kimberly Belflower’s play, following a sold-out run at the Royal Court before transferring to the West End. Set in a small town, it follows five young women as a soundtrack of pop, adrenaline and barely contained rage gives way to questions about what is really happening around them.

Directed by Tony Award-winner Danya Taymor, the production explores girlhood, power and the courage to question what we think we know. It is built around a story of long-buried truths rising to the surface, with the young women beginning to take control of the narrative for themselves.

Key facts: 1 hour 45 minutes, no interval; strictly limited 12-week season from February 2027.
