Hay Fever is a new production of Noël Coward’s comedy, directed by Emily Burns. It follows Judith Bliss, who has retired from life on stage and already misses the applause. Back at the family’s country home, Judith, her novelist husband David, and their children Sorrel and Simon are too self-involved to be easy hosts.
Judith invites a young fan to stay for the weekend, unaware that each member of the family has also invited a guest. As the arrivals overlap, the house quickly descends into a weekend of parlour games, put-downs and unrequested encores.
Duration: 2 hours including the interval.
On 27 October, trailer filming will take place at the performance. On 16 November and 19 November, the performance will be filmed. Latecomers will not be admitted on these dates.
No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
Christine Baranski, winner of an Emmy, two Tony Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Drama Desk Award, makes her West End debut as Judith Bliss. Richard E. Grant, an Academy Award nominated stage and screen actor, appears alongside her.
