Hay Fever is Noël Coward’s comedy in a new production directed by Emily Burns. Emmy, two-time Tony, Screen Actors Guild and Drama Desk winner Christine Baranski makes her West End debut as Judith Bliss, alongside Academy Award-nominated Richard E. Grant.
Set in the Blisses’ country home, the play follows retired actress Judith, who still misses the applause, while her husband David and their children Sorrel and Simon are too self-involved to be much help as hosts. When Judith invites a young fan to stay for the weekend, each member of the family has a guest of their own arriving at the same time.
As the weekend unfolds, the house tips into a mix of parlour games, put-downs and awkward encounters, with a family that is completely unsuited to compromise.
Duration: 2 hours including the interval.
On 27 October, trailer filming will take place at the performance. Latecomers will not be admitted on that date. The performances on 16 November and 19 November will be filmed, and latecomers will not be admitted.
No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
