Hay Fever is Noël Coward’s comedy, with Christine Baranski making her West End debut as Judith Bliss alongside Richard E. Grant in a new production directed by Emily Burns. The story follows the Bliss family at their country home, where Judith, now retired from life on stage, is missing the applause and looking for company.
When Judith invites a young admirer for the weekend, she does not realise that each member of the household has arranged a guest of their own to arrive at the same time. The result is a household full of clashing egos, parlour games, put-downs and unplanned performances.
Baranski is an Emmy, two-time Tony, Screen Actors Guild and Drama Desk winner, while Grant is an Academy Award nominated stage and screen actor. This production brings those names to Coward’s fast-moving comedy of manners and chaos.
Running time: 2 hours including the interval.
Please note the following performance dates have filming or trailer filming and latecomers will not be admitted: 27 October will have trailer filming; 16 November and 19 November will be filmed.
