Christmas Carol Goes Wrong returns to the West End following a sold-out run at London’s Apollo Theatre. From Mischief, the multi award-winning company behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, it is a comic take on Charles Dickens’s much-loved Christmas story of Ebenezer Scrooge.
The Cornley crew face miscommunication, delays to the set, missing actors and a growing feud over who will play the lead. The result is a disastrous production that sends the story of Scrooge off course while the company tries to keep it together.
Described by the Guardian as “a Dickensian disaster to savour” and by WhatsOnStage as an “irresistible Christmas treat”, the show offers a festive West End comedy built around the familiar story and the chaos of the Cornley team.
