About

About Hamilton

Hamilton is a musical about Alexander Hamilton, the West Indies-born immigrant who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the America we know today. The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, telling the story of America then through a contemporary sound.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. It is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.
