About Hamilton

Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the United States. Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and based on Ron Chernow's biography, the show combines history with a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway.

Directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton presents the story of America then, as told by America now. The production is known for its contemporary sound and its focus on one of the key figures in early American history.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.

Before you book

Age guidance: Hamilton contains some strong language and is appropriate for ages 10+. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticketholder who is at least 18 years old.
