Hamilton

About Hamilton

Hamilton is a stage musical about Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the America we know today. The show’s score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, telling the story of America then through a modern sound.

Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, directed by Thomas Kail, choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler and with musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.
