About Hamilton

Hamilton is a stage musical at 79 Victoria Street, London, telling the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the foundations of the United States. The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, and the production is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. It is a contemporary retelling of a historical life story, presented through a mix of music styles and a narrative centred on Hamilton’s place in the early history of America.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes, including a 15 minute interval.

Before you book

Hamilton contains some strong language and is suitable for ages 10+. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under 16 must be accompanied by and sit next to a ticketholder aged 18 or over, and children under 3 will not be admitted.

The performance on Wednesday 29 April 2026 is a Relaxed Performance for people with autism, learning disabilities, sensory and communication needs, or for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Adjustments will be made to sound and lighting, and normal rules of theatregoing, such as being quiet and sitting still, do not apply. This performance starts at 6.30pm.

Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break, and admittance cannot be guaranteed. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
