About Oh, Mary!

Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre, London, is an 80-minute one-act dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton. It follows a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.

The play looks at unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires through Mary’s perspective. It received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play, won by Cole Escola, and Best Direction of a Play, won by Sam Pinkleton.

For the London transfer, Mary Todd Lincoln is played by Cole Escola from 20th July to 15th August, Jinkx Monsoon from 17th August to 26th September, and Lolly Adefope from 28th September to 5th December.
