Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre, London, is a dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton. It follows a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, and uses its 80-minute one-act structure to focus on unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires.
The show received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play (Cole Escola) and Best Direction of a Play (Sam Pinkleton). The New York Times called it “one of the best comedies in years”.
Running time: 1 hour 20 minutes, with no interval.
Age guidance: Ages 14+. Children under 4 are not permitted.
The role of Mary Todd Lincoln will be played by Lolly Adefope from 28th September to 5th December. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
