

Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre, London, is a dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton. It follows a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, looking at her life and ambitions through a sharp comic lens.
The production received Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play for Cole Escola and Best Direction of a Play for Sam Pinkleton. The New York Times called it one of the best comedies in years.
Running time: 1 hour 20 minutes, with no intermission.

Mary Todd Lincoln is played by Cole Escola from 20 July to 15 August, Jinkx Monsoon from 17 August to 26 September, and Lolly Adefope from 28 September to 5 December. The cast also includes Kate O'Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone, Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher and Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband.
