

Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre in London is Cole Escola’s dark comedy about Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. It follows a suffocated Mary through unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires.
Directed by Sam Pinkleton, the production won Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play and Best Direction of a Play. The New York Times called it one of the best comedies in years.
Running time: 1 hour 20 minutes, with no intermission.
Age guidance: Ages 14+. Children under 4 are not permitted.

The performance on Thursday 30 July will have cameras filming a portion of the show, and by attending you consent to photography, filming and/or recording, including use of your appearance, voice and likeness in any media worldwide in perpetuity.

Mary Todd Lincoln is played by Mason Alexander Park until 18 July, by Cole Escola from 20 July to 15 August, and by Jinkx Monsoon from 17 August to 26 September. Kate O’Donnell plays Mary’s Chaperone, Oliver Stockley plays Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, Dino Fetscher plays Mary’s Teacher, and Giles Terera plays Mary’s Husband. Catherine Tate will no longer perform in Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre.
