About Oh, Mary!

Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre, London is an 80-minute one-act dark comedy by Cole Escola, directed by Sam Pinkleton. Set in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, it follows Mary Todd Lincoln through a story of unrequited yearning, alcoholism and suppressed desires.

The production has been described by The New York Times as “one of the best comedies in years” and won Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Play and Best Direction of a Play. For the London transfer, the show features Mason Alexander Park.

Running time: 1 hour 20 minutes, with no intermission.

The London transfer features Mason Alexander Park, with Catherine Tate playing Mary Todd Lincoln until 18 July, Cole Escola from 20 July to 15 August, and Jinkx Monsoon from 17 August to 26 September. Completing the cast are Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone, Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher and Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband.
