Trainspotting - the musical at Haymarket is a stage adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s story, written by Irvine Welsh, with music and lyrics by Stephen McGuinness and Irvine Welsh, and directed and developed by Caroline Jay Ranger. Thirty years on from the film, it brings the story to the West End stage as a new musical.
Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud, Tommy and Kelly return, alongside an ensemble cast and a live band. The show features some of the electrifying tracks from the film, together with original songs written for the production.
The result is a musical version of a familiar story, presented with live music and a mix of recognised material and new songs.
Duration: 2 hours including a 20-minute interval.
