The Standard Of Living

About The Standard of Living

The Standard of Living is playing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London as a brand new world-premiere play from Olivier Award-winning playwright James Graham. It opens from 21 September for a strictly limited 12-week season and is directed by multi award-winner Nicholas Hytner.

The play tells the story of rebel economist and member of the Bloomsbury Group John Maynard Keynes, moving between Whitehall and a radical circle of artists, writers and lovers. It brings together music, dance, desire and debate in a portrait of a man shaped by ideas, politics and personal relationships.

It stars Olivier Award winner Rory Kinnear and Royal Ballet principal Natalia Osipova in her West End debut.
