The Standard Of Living

About The Standard of Living

The Standard of Living at the Theatre Royal Haymarket is a new world-premiere play by James Graham, directed by Nicholas Hytner.

The play follows rebel economist and Bloomsbury Group member John Maynard Keynes as he moves between Whitehall and a circle of artists, writers and lovers. Set against markets crashing and Britain on the edge of chaos, it explores his search for what makes a good life, with music, dance, desire and debate woven through the production.

Key facts: Strictly limited 12-week season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
