Little Dancer

About Little Dancer

Little Dancer at Theatre Royal Haymarket tells the story of Marie van Goethem, the fourteen-year-old Parisian ballet student who became the model for Edgar Degas’s sculpture. Set in Belle Époque Paris, it follows two people linked by art, ambition and the desire to be remembered.

Created by Tony and Olivier Award-winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, and directed and choreographed by five-time Tony and Olivier Award-winner Susan Stroman, this new musical is described as a story of impossible dreams and the world that shaped them.

The production is scheduled for a six-week run from February 2027, prior to a world tour.
