Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney’s internationally celebrated musical, reimagined for the stage by Julie Taymor. Based on Disney’s film, it follows Simba from young cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production combines music, staging, colours and effects to bring the story to the theatre in a large-scale stage format.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.

Before you book

We recommend The Lion King for ages 6+. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Seating arrival times vary by area: 45 minutes before for Grand Circle and standing positions, 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
