Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney’s internationally celebrated musical. Reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, it adapts Disney’s film for the stage and follows Simba’s journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands, with music, colour and effects at the centre of the production.
The show combines a familiar story with a large-scale theatrical presentation, making it a strong option for theatre-goers looking for a well-known musical with a clear family appeal. It is recommended for ages 6+.
Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performance times: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.
Age guidance: recommended for ages 6+. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, whatever their age, must have a ticket.
Arrival and entry: the venue opens 90 minutes before the performance. Arrive early, as it can get busy and latecomers may have to wait before being seated, which could mean missing part of the show.
