Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is the stage version of Disney's beloved film. Reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, it tells the story of Simba, following his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.
The production has been described as an internationally celebrated musical, bringing together the story, music and staging in a theatrical adaptation of the film. It is presented as a stage show at one of London’s major theatre venues.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.
The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All attendees, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
You will receive a confirmation email after booking. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home.
The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
Arrival times vary by seating area: Grand Circle standing positions, 45 minutes before the start time; Stalls and Boxes E and K, 60 minutes before; Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G, 75 minutes before. Please switch off your phone completely once the show begins, and keep conversation to the interval. Snacks and drinks are allowed, but please open any packaging before the performance starts.
