Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney’s internationally celebrated musical, reimagined for the stage by Julie Taymor. It adapts the film into a live theatre production centred on Simba’s journey from young cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.
The show combines music, effects and colourful staging to tell the story on stage. It is a clear choice for anyone looking for a well-known Disney title presented as a theatre experience.
The production brings the familiar story to the Lyceum Theatre in a format designed for live performance, with the emphasis on Simba’s journey and the world of the Pridelands.
Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.
Recommended for ages 6+. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, whatever their age, must have a ticket.
You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home.
The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Arrival times vary by seating level: 45 minutes before for Grand Circle standing positions, 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Latecomers may need to wait before being seated and may miss part of the performance. Strobe lighting is used several times during the show. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
