Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is an internationally celebrated musical, reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor. Disney’s film has been transformed into a stage production that tells the story of Simba, from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The show brings that story to the stage with colour, effects and music, making it a clear stage adaptation of the original film. It is one of Disney’s best-known musical productions.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday performances at 2.30pm. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 6+. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it with you at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and guests should be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Latecomers may need to wait before being seated, which could mean missing part of the performance.
