About

About Disney’s The Lion King

Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is Disney’s internationally celebrated musical, reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor. It presents the story of Simba on stage through music, movement and visual design.

At its centre is Simba’s journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. The production follows his adventure in a stage adaptation of Disney’s film.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm. Content note: Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

Before you book

We recommend The Lion King for ages 6+. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All attendees, whatever their age, need a ticket.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the performance starts. Please arrive 45 minutes early for Grand Circle standing positions, 60 minutes early for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes early for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before show time, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated, which could mean missing part of the performance.

Your confirmation will be sent by email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. E-tickets are sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
