About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is the internationally celebrated musical based on Disney's film. Reimagined by director Julie Taymor, it brings Simba's journey from cub to King of the Pridelands to the stage in a production known for its colours, effects and music.

The show combines a moving story with staged spectacle and remains one of Disney's best-known theatrical productions. It is a strong option if you are looking for a large-scale musical with a clear narrative and a well-known title.

Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinee performances on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm. The running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval.

Before you book

The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Venue doors open 90 minutes before the start time. Guests should arrive in line with their seating area: 45 minutes before start time for Grand Circle and standing positions, 60 minutes before start time for Stalls, Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before start time for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
