About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is the stage musical adaptation of Disney's film, reimagined by director Julie Taymor. It follows Simba's journey from cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production brings the story to the stage with colour, effects and music. It presents the film's story in a theatrical format designed for the Lyceum stage.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Every person entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you have chosen collect at box office, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you have chosen e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before start time. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before show start time. Arrival times vary by seating area: 45 minutes before start time for Grand Circle standing positions; 60 minutes before for Stalls, Boxes E and K; and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle, Boxes A, B, F and G. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.
