About
Slates
Slates are a young band from the north of England, carving out a reputation for sharp
songwriting, grooves and an electrifying live presence. The four piece blends modernist
psychedelia with funk rock influences through a fresh, contemporary lens. Their sound is
built on heavy riffs, funk-tinged rhythms and vocal hooks that stick fast, giving their music
both moshpit energy and sing-along appeal. The band have toured across the UK, Europe
and recently in the USA - defining a voice that feels distinctly their own
