SIPSMITH ANNOUNCE FINAL ROOFTOP PARTY AT THE SOUTHPLACE HOTEL WITH FESTIVAL DJs, SIPSMITH COCKTAILS AND VIEWS OF THE CITY OF LONDON On 1st September, Sipsmith is encouraging Londoners to celebrate at the brand new Southplace Hotel for their final Sundowner party to round off a series of summer events on unusual rooftops across London, offering consumers a different view of the city, whilst enjoying Sipsmith’s new seasonal spirit, Summer Cup. A beautiful, contemporary space in the heart of the city, the unique venue will host over 100 people who will be entertained by DJs all afternoon and into the evening, playing everything from signature indie to modern pop classics. From 3 pm, XFM DJ, Maz Tappuni, founding member of record label and festival organisers, Communion will be providing the vibrant summer sounds. Maz and Communion regularly work with acts including Daughter, Ben Howard and The National, amonst others. Maz will be followed by Sombrero Sound System, Bestival resident DJs and eclectic chill - out enthusiasts. Lazrjet will be headlining the event and is sure to get people dancing when he takes over the decks from 7pm. He has worked at a variety of events (including a Ministry of Sound tour) and his music ranges from mixing classic tracks, such as Pink Floyd and the Beatles, with house and garage music. All afternoon and into the evening, Sipsmith G&Ts and cocktails will be available from the bar, made with the Hammersmith distillery’s hand-crafted spirits. The Southplace Hotel’s chefs will prepare a range of delicious dishes, specially created to match with Sipsmith spirits throughout the afternoon. For those determined to bask in the last of the summer sun, tickets cost £10 per person and include a complimentary glass of Sipsmith Summer Cup on arrival. Sipsmith Summer Cup was launched during sum- mer 2012 and is a new take on an old classic. Capturing the elements of summer in a glass, Summer Cup blends Sipsmith’s award-winning London Dry Gin, with homegrown Lemon Verbena and Earl Grey tea.
