About London Eye - Standard Experience

London Eye - Standard Experience at the London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames is a 30-minute rotation on the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel. The attraction stands 135 metres high and has 32 high-tech glass capsules.

The ride gives 360-degree views across London, with landmarks including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square visible from the wheel. On a clear day, views can reach up to 40 kilometres.

Key facts: One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes.

Before you book

Go to Standard Access (A) at the time shown on your e-ticket and present it printed or on a mobile device to be scanned before the start of your tour. Infants aged 3 years and under are free, but must still reserve a ticket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Disabled guests should purchase a standard ticket and can request one complimentary helper ticket on arrival by showing proof of disability. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, with a maximum of two wheelchairs per capsule and eight wheelchairs in total on the London Eye at any one time. After booking, wheelchair timeslots should be arranged in advance by emailing customer.services@londoneye.com and quoting your order reference. Mobility scooters cannot be admitted. There are no exchanges or refunds after purchase.

The London Eye is within easy walking distance of Waterloo, Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster stations. Waterloo is the closest station, about five minutes’ walk away. From Embankment and Charing Cross, cross Hungerford Bridge for a 10-15 minute walk. From Westminster station, take exit one and follow signs for Westminster Pier.
