Love's Labours Lost 26 presents Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost in a flamenco-inspired production. Set in Navarre, the comedy follows four women on a diplomatic mission and the King and his lords as vows, wit and desire begin to unravel.
Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins makes her Globe Theatre directing debut with this production. A former Globe Resident Artist and JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at the Orange Tree Theatre, she brings the warmth and energy of her rural Spanish roots to the staging.
Rarely staged, Love’s Labour’s Lost brings together rhythm, passion and poetry, with joy and revelry alongside longing, grief and melancholy. It is a fresh take on a Shakespeare comedy that leaves love unresolved.
