Love's Labours Lost 26 is a Summer production of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost, presented in a flamenco-inspired staging. The play follows four women arriving in Navarre on a diplomatic mission, where the King and his lords are tested by love, desire and wit.
Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins makes her Globe Theatre directing debut with the production. A former Globe Resident Artist and JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at the Orange Tree Theatre, she draws on her rural Spanish roots to shape the production’s sense of warmth, rhythm and flamenco artistry.
Described as a raw, human comedy, the story brings together joy and revelry with longing, grief and melancholy. It is a rare staging of a play that leaves love unresolved.
