Love's Labours Lost 26 is a flamenco-inspired production of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. Four women arrive in Navarre on a diplomatic mission, and the King and his lords find their vows tested by love, desire and wit.
Described as a raw, refreshingly human comedy, the production brings rhythm, fiery romantic tension, joy and revelry together with longing, grief and melancholy. It presents the play as a story about connection, with love left unresolved.
Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins directs in her Globe Theatre directing debut. She is a former Globe Resident Artist and a JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at the Orange Tree Theatre, and draws on her rural Spanish roots in the staging.
