Julius Caesar 2027

About Julius Caesar 2027

Julius Caesar 2027 at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse brings Shakespeare’s political thriller to the theatre’s intimate, candlelit setting. The story centres on a murderous plot in the corridors of the Senate as concern grows over the ambition of dictator Julius Caesar.

As public opinion turns against Caesar’s enemies, political in-fighting develops into civil war. Joe Hill-Gibbins, who directed Ghosts at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, returns to direct this production of Shakespeare’s tale of friendship, betrayal and political violence.
