Globe Theatre Tours 2026

About Globe Theatre Tours 2026

Globe Theatre Tours 2026 at Shakespeare’s Globe combines a guided visit to the theatre with Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour. The experience includes a brand-new walk-through exhibition space and access to the Globe Theatre itself.

The tour traces more than 400 years of history, from Shakespeare’s London and the original 1599 theatre to the Globe’s recreation in the 1990s. In the exhibition space, seasonally curated displays, costumes and props are used to explore stagecraft and the theatre’s story.

Expert guides lead you inside the theatre and explain the history of the iconic wooden ‘O’, including how the original building survived plague, fire and political oppression. It is a chance to see the theatre from the inside and understand how thousands of Londoners once packed in to watch performances there.

Duration: approximately 2 hours, including a 50-minute guided tour and self-guided time in the exhibition space. All tours are in English and suitable for all ages.
