About Globe Theatre Tours 2026

Globe Theatre Tours 2026 at Shakespeare’s Globe is part of Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour, combining a guided tour with time in the exhibition space and access to the Globe Theatre itself. The experience explores more than 400 years of history through sights, sounds and displays, alongside interactive costumes and props.

Seasonally curated exhibitions revisit some of the theatre’s shows, while expert guides explain the story of the original 1599 theatre and its rebuild in the 1990s. The tour also looks at how the theatre survived plague, fire and political oppression, and why thousands once gathered there to see the actors of the day.

All tours are in English and suitable for all ages. Information sheets are available in a number of languages. As this is an open-air theatre, tours take place in all conditions, so dress for the weather.

Duration: Approximately 2 hours, including a 50 minute guided tour and self-guided time in the exhibition space.
